Advanced Vehicle Manager (AVM) launches technology breakthrough with new hardware and software upgrade

The latest version of WebAVM V3.0 uses an exciting new web technology called Silverlight developed by Microsoft. Other software releases include Smart Locator V6.1, Day of Operations (DOC) v6.1 and Mobile Work V1.1.

The new WebAVM3 has enabled Pinpoint to offer their customers more advanced features such as improved map display and size, faster & more reliable web performance, new and improved map controls for easier navigation and view vehicle data and map information on the map screen. It also incorporates a new reporting system based on Microsoft Reporting Services.

New hardware products released at the launch include the new TRK Series 3.04 In-vehicle communication hubs, TRK Trailer Model a solar powered trailer or asset tracker, TRK Quick Deploy magnetic mounted device and MDT 745 Windows CE Dispatch and Navigation Terminal.

The revolutionary MDT 745 features a 7” touch screen terminal and will host the DOC Mobile Work platform software which will enable organisations who are juggling job allocation and job management to drivers and vehicles. The DOC provides a summary view of the status of tasks and alerts operation staff of delays and problems during the day of operation (or shift). Users of DOC therefore have the ability to manage jobs more efficiently and take prompt action should changes occur.
