Transport Certification Australia (TCA) reported on a notable increase in the number of heavy vehicles which have become enrolled in the Intelligent Access Program (IAP) over the last 12 months.
“There are now over 3,330 vehicles enrolled in the IAP – an increase of 496 vehicles since August 2014,” said TCA Chief Executive Officer, Chris Koniditsiotis.

Pinpoint Communications has seen a steady increase in the number for IAP enrolments in NSW and QLD jurisdiction, said Pinpoint Sales Director, Stephen Grundy.
One of the main reasons for this growth is that many Heavy Transport Operators are now realising the significant productivity gains that can be achieved from the HML network in NSW and QLD. “I encourage all operators to take a fresh look at what access applications are available from road managers through the IAP.”
Pinpoint have recently introduced an affordable rental package to enable Transport Operators to implement IAP devices on their fleet for no upfront cost.
This low cost package means your investment in the IAP will be cash flow positive from day one of accreditation.
NSW RMS and the NHVR have both published an easy to use interactive map to help transport operators search and identify possible high productivity routes for their vehicles.
The maps can be found here: RMS HML MAPS: http://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/business-industry/heavy-vehicles/maps/intellig... NHVR Journey Planner: http://gis.nhvr.gov.au/journeyplanner/
Pinpoint Communications are an IAP Service provider and offer the industry practical assistance in helping Transport Operators understand the opportunity and enrol in the IAP Program.
