Trailer Tracker
Based on the TRK2000 the Trailer Tracker has been programmed
to operate on a combination of GPS movement detection and a Movement Sensor in the
unit. The Movement sensor wakes the unit up after 30 seconds of sustained movement.
The unit will then continuously track the trailer until it sensors that movement
has stopped, it will then record this as a stop. If after 15 minutes there
has been no movement the TRK2000TT will go into power save mode. In power save mode
the unit will remain contactable for up to 20 days without charging (assuming a
full charge at time of stop).
The TT can be wired into the running lights of a trailer. This enables the unit
to recharge when the trailer is operating during night time long haul runs. The
unit can also be wired to a 5W Solar panel or permanent power via a modification
to the prime mover connection.
